Nerf Zombiestrike Doominator Review (7/10)

Overkill: excessive use, treatment, or action; too much of something, or in other words; a Doominator.
How do you take an already insane blaster called the Flipfury and make it even more ridiculous? Convert it to pump action, add two more cylinders and you have a complete monstrosity of a weapon, the Doominator. Lets see what this beast is all about.

Size compared to a Rotofury.
This has to be the most bizarre blaster I've ever seen since the vintage years, there really isn't all that much like it. It's not terribly huge but the cylinders add a ton of bulk and weight. The main grip is good but the pump grip is a love or hate sort of thing. The stock is virtually non-existent if you even consider that short brown piece on the back to be a stock. I also found the need for the twin looped secondary trigger to be totally unnecessary. It requires you to use two fingers to switch chambers otherwise the trigger will crush your fingers. Why couldn't it just be one loop? Overall, mostly marks down on ergonomics.
Pump grip can be screwed in on either side of the blaster.
One thing that's interesting is that you can unscrew the pump grip and screw it in on either side of the blaster. While I don't see much reason behind this, it might help if think that the space between the pump grip and the main body of the blaster is too crowded. I will also note that the chamber switching action does jam up at times, and I'm pretty sure this is due to the heavy weight of the four cylinders, but most of the time I found the action of the blaster in general is smooth.
Internals are less intimidating than they seem.
The internals are basically that of the Strongarm and Flipfury but with a new secondary rotation mechanism to accommodate the four cylinders, so modding should be the same as either one of those two blasters, As for it's performance, it's slamming darts down range at around 50 feet with decent accuracy. With the 24 darts this thing is packing and slam fire capability, it can shred in close quarters with ease and perform well in most other situations.

The Doominator is a beast of a blaster, it packs a decent amount of power and a solid amount of ammo to keep you stocked. My only major grievance is it's ergonomics but like most blasters this radical in design you'll probably get used to it but it hard to considering other options operate more smoothly. The Doominator deserves a solid 7 out of 10 because it might be a bit of a handful for some people but it still packs a punch. Try one out.

The Verdict
Class- Quad Chamber Pump Action Revolver
Range- Good, about 50 feet.
Size- About the same size as a Rotofury but with more bulk and weight.
Reliability- Chamber switching mechanism may jam on occasion.
Ammo- 24 Elite Darts
Modding- Most Strongarm and Flipfury mods should work with this blaster.
Value- At $40, this is an expensive blaster that doesn't operate as smoothly as it smaller counterparts.

Is It Better Than?

Rampage- No, while the performance is similar, the Rampage and it's not too distant cousin, the Elite Alpha Trooper are more comfortable and practical than the Doominator thanks to their stock mount points and use of magazines.

Lawbringer- Yes, the Doominator has slightly better performance and more ammo capacity than the Lawbringer. Although it is an effective blaster once you get the hammer action priming down, the Doominator is just better in most ways.

Rotofury- Depends, while this bad boy is more powerful than the Doominator, it lacks in ammo capacity. If you need the extra distance boost, the Rotofury might be the way to go, but if need the extra ammo, take the Doominator. Or both.
