Venom Shot Basic Mods (Last 2012 Post!)

If you guys remember my last post, the Venom Shot is a pretty shitty blaster. Its awkward design combined with mediocre power really dropped the ball for this blaster(New Years Pun) So I cooked up a mod guide to remedy this. Lets go!

KWA Berretta M93 Raffica NS2 Review

Airsoft and Nerf don't have very good relations apparently. I know some may think one is better than the other but debating Nerf and Airsoft is just as bad as debating Airsoft and Paintball, or Nerf and Laser Tag. There's no comparison at all. But they're all very fun though, no doubt about it. Anyways, here's the Raffica, courtesy of an old addiction to this thing in MW2.

Disaster: How not to mod a Big Bad Bow

Yeah this is the most disgusting Big Bad Bow I've ever seen, and I made it! This was the result of destroying my old BBB with an early attempt at a paintjob and I left it in my garage for about a year. So today I just decided to pull it out and make it work again.

Koosh Rings MK2 "Sentinels"

Now these are how homemade rings should be! After the Knights failed my expectations, I made these. These fly straight, far, and they hurt a bit. I left a few ring marks on my victims I tested it out on, so that told me this was the one to keep producing. Its design is based on Noob 001's on Nerfhaven duct tape rings, I just used a slightly thinner airfoil and weight belt to save tape but no loss in performance. I used digital camo duct tape and made the outer shell with etape. Although these are time consuming to make(I can make 10 hybrid slugs in the time to make 1 ring) the payoff is great if you got a Vortex with no ammo. I will try to get a tutorial up for these.

Koosh Vortex Firestorm Review (5)

There wasn't many sniper like blasters existing between 1990 and 2000, let alone any that were good. Koosh(At this time was owned by some company called Oddzon)in 1998 stepped in and introduced the Vortex lineup, which included sports gear to their signature ring blasters, the Tornado and its X/2 pistol, the Powerstrike, and the Firestorm. And look what we have here, the inferno has arrived.

Nerf Venom Shot Review (3.5)

One of those strange ass blasters that nobody has ever heard about. Here's the 1996 Venom Shot, one of those strange, but kind of cool blasters of the Max Force lineup.

Nerf Hornet AS-6 Review (5/10)

Nerf revisited the Semi Auto system of the Blastfire for use on today's battlefield. The end result was a success  that after weeks became a nightmare. Say hello to the Hornet AS-6, Nerf's first failure of the N-Strike lineup.

Modded Nerf Mono Blast

Basically a rare trash find I got on eBay. This thing had the top of its plunger tube broken clean off, I managed to repair to normal working condition but it broke again, this time beyond repair. I decided to kick its overall lousy stock performance up a notch and the end result is a solid little sidearm. I used the hole in the plunger tube to my advantage and glued a coupler in there, perfect fit. I kept its stock spring because its a complete pain in the ass to replace anyways. I ran a pencil trough the hollow, brittle plunger rod to strengthen it. The old gasket was dried up so I hotglued it to expand it out a bit more and then greased it up and I kept the old barrel because it made a nice 3 dart holder. I had this old mock silencer I built, and I slapped it on, and needless to say, it looks like a combo of Han Solo's pistol and one of those Olympic target pistols, and I really like how it turned out. I'm not sure on exact ranges yet but it is so much better than it used to be.

Nerf Electric Eel Review (4/10)

It won't bite.
I remember jerm781 mentioning this blaster on his blog a while back noting how it shattered like glass when he dropped it. Either way I picked an Electric Eel up off eBay and despite it's age and somewhat sub par performance, it's one of most innovative blasters I've used,

Raider CS-35P

An very nice idea I got from DarthRambo. Considering the Raider is now phased out by the Rampage, I decided to go cut my Raider up a bit, and I still have more plans for it. Basically, I took the front grip off a very distressed Double Shot, sliced my Raider's foregrip in half to accommodate the new part(which was a perfect fit with a little sanding) and hotglued the two together and bingo. You got yourself a more zombie slaying suited Raider. I plan on doing internal mods to this later on and painting that retarded candy yellow on the pump black. Just a little something for me to do while I wait to snatch up a Rampage.

Nerf PowerClip Review (8/10)

Shoots so fast it may as well be a shotgun.
Having bought this blaster before I had a thorough knowledge of vintage Nerf, I was quite skeptical about this blaster at first. I loved my Magstrike despite its slightly leaky air system and I really couldn't believe that there was a old retro Magstrike, let alone one that's better than its modern Dart Tag counterpart.
