Nerf Mega Magnus Review (9/10)

When you just need that extra punch...
This Magnus turned up as another one of the blasters I received on Christmas and after hearing about countless sour experiences with the Centurion, I couldn't really help but expect the worst from this new heavy pistol that hit the stores only recently. Just to put it this way, it's nothing you would expect, at all.

SuperMAXX 5000 Inbound

Punching through soda cans since 1998.
I really could not help myself, I saw this SM5k in my recommended items on eBay today while browsing for film equipment for only $50 bucks and I snatched it up on the spot. This being one of the one of the rarest and most expensive blasters out there, I feel pretty lucky I got it this cheap. As you can tell, the barrel attachments are missing and the ammo holders on the top have long busted off but the guts of this blaster are fully functional and the seller said it feels like it still could packs a punch, so I really have no excuse not to modify this thing now. Either way, these totally suck in stock form anyways. I'm going to do a full tank relocation, toss a brass breech in front, and I might sell this one on later when I'm done if I don't fall in love with the results and decide to keep it. Oh and more good news, I also got the brass I need to finish the Hyperion's internals finally after a year of sitting in a box. This should be interesting.

Nerf Revonix360 Review (4)

You spin me right round.
Ok yeah, call me a hypocrite but this was totally uncalled for. So when I said a was dropping Nerf for some time I did actually mean it, so when I found a Magnus, a Stockade, and Revonix360 under the tree from my family members, I feel like some of them didn't get the message. Ah, what the hell, reviewing this stuff now that I have it only seems necessary(I'm not going to review the Stockade, you all know what it does) and plus, I don't see many Revonix360 reviews out there, let alone any that are in depth.

Gran Turismo 6 Standard Cars

This R390 is practically a total remodel.
All I can say is holy crap. When I first heard there were standard cars in GT6, I was a little pissed knowing that they were really just cars ripped straight from Gran Turismo 4 and as a result they looked like complete ass. But Polyphony Digital said that they were retooling the cars a bit for GT6 and wow, it looks like they did a little more than just a "bit" of work to make these cars HD spec. Although they still arn't as pretty as the Premium cars, they don't look alien next to one now. Round of applause.

Nerf Triple Strike Autopsy

Unfortunately I can't do a full stock review on this blaster because of a curious little problem I found internally. Well, ok, to put it this way this thing sucks at firing the new standard 9" arrows as this thing normally fires the 11" variant. And it only fires two tanks instead of three. Why?

Forza Motorsport 5: Quality Over Quantity?

This KTM X-Bow is just stunning to look at.
Being a huge car fanatic, I can't help but love racing games, Forza being one of my go to games. Forza 5 is really the main reason I went with the Xbox One over the PS4 and so far... eheh... it's not quite what I was expecting. Reading some of the reviews they sliced the car list in half, remember the good 500 cars(Which still sounds meager to Gran Turismo 6's 1200 cars) Well you can kiss that goodbye because it's now down to 200 and the track list is tiny as well. To me, this sounds like a fool proof recipe for a DLC fest, about 300+ unfinished cars and some amount of tracks just itching to be released. Turn 10 said that each car and track took a tediously long time to craft and that basically sums it up, just not enough time. Luckily they are still cranking cars out and I HOPE to see that good ol' Sauber C9 sitting in my garage again. But I'm at least glad they took more time into refining the game mechanics, which makes a better game than as many cars as you can cram into it will ever be. In the mean time, I'll just enjoy gawking at every inch of the cars I can only dream of affording in Forzavista. What fun.

The Dominator: The Beginning of a vicious Triple Strike Mod

I remember first seeing the Nerf Triple Strike on Nerf Mods & Reviews and my first though was this ugly ass blaster with semi auto/shotgun capability with pretty large air tanks to go along with it. After the Hopper Clip became more popular I realized the devastating potential this blaster suddenly had. I realized you could mount 3 PETG Hoppers on this thing with six rounds each for a total of 18 shots each and you can fire three without pumping again. With the size of the tanks in mind, I estimate this thing can pull off 90+ or maybe 100+ feet on each barrel. As for some ergonomic changes since the blaster's original grip looks really uncomfortable, I'm mounting a Longshot front gun grip and a stock to make this then easier to use. Plus I'm reinforcing the flimsy pump with coat hangers and topping it off with some paint. I haven't even built this thing yet and it's already shaping up to being VERY badass, and it looks the part too.
